Balance Autism receives $36,730.00 grant from Variety – the Children’s Charity

Thank you to Variety - the Children's Charity for awarding us a grant of $36,730 to help fund the opening of a new Children's Autism Project (CAP) Center in the Iowa City region.

The grant received from Variety - the Children's Charity was used to purchase specialized equipment, furnishings and teaching supplies for the new CAP Center in the Iowa City Region.  The new Center will allow 40-45 more children and their families to receive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services annually when it is running at capacity.  This individualized, intensive intervention will lead children to learn more effectively, communicate better, develop relationships with those around them, and lead more fulfilling lives.

Variety – the Children’s Charity is dedicated to improving the lives of children who are at-risk, underprivileged, critically ill or living with special needs.  Grant funding is provided to programs and initiatives that directly impact the well-being of children.  For more information on Variety grants and programs please visit varietyiowa.com.
