Happy Mother’s Day

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the love, strength, and dedication of mothers everywhere — especially the incredible mothers of children and adult sons and daughters with autism and other unique needs. While Mother’s Day is often filled with joy and celebration, we also recognize that many days are anything but easy. The journey of motherhood can bring challenges, uncertainty, exhaustion, and moments that require extraordinary patience and resilience. Through it all, these mothers continue to show up with unwavering love, advocacy, and determination for their children and families.

At Balance Autism, we are deeply grateful for the mothers in our community who give so much of themselves each day. Whether celebrating hard-earned milestones, navigating difficult moments, or simply offering comfort and support, their impact is immeasurable. This Mother’s Day, we honor not only the strength it takes to keep going, but also the compassion, courage, and hope that mothers bring to those around them every single day.

Celebrations and Congratulations

We are excited to celebrate and congratulate Sierra (Burlington clinic) on officially passing her BCBA boards! This is an incredible accomplishment that reflects her dedication, hard work, and commitment to the individuals and families we serve at Balance Autism.

BCBAs play a pivotal role in the work we do every day. Their expertise helps guide high-quality, evidence-based services that empower individuals to grow, build independence, and reach meaningful goals. From supporting direct care teams to developing individualized programming and collaborating with families, BCBAs are essential to creating positive outcomes across our organization.

Please join us in recognizing Sierra for this major milestone and welcoming her into this important role. We are so proud to have her as part of the Balance Autism team and look forward to the impact she will continue to make!

Congratulations, Sierra!

More Event Fun

Last weekend, Balance Autism had the opportunity to attend ASK Resource Center’s 14th Annual Together We Can Conference.

We were grateful for the chance to connect with so many individuals and families, and to share the resources and services we’re proud to provide across Central and Eastern Iowa.

It was also a great opportunity to highlight our newer offerings, including our Balance Beginnings Preschool Program at both our Altoona and Clive clinics, as well as our Speech and Occupational Therapy services now available through our Clive and Clive - Metro West locations! We truly appreciate everyone who stopped by to connect with us!

Quad Cities

We had a great time last weekend at the Annual Autism Resource Fair at The Bend XPO, hosted by the Royal Guide/Royal Ball Run (Quad Cities)! It was so great connecting with new families, sharing resources, and being part of such a supportive community event.

Visitors stopped by our table to pick up sensory bottles, fun goodies, and learn more about the services and supports we offer. We loved meeting everyone who came out and appreciated the opportunity to connect with so many incredible families throughout the day.

A huge thank you to the organizers and everyone who made the event such a success — we’re already looking forward to next year!
