Welcome Jodie Warth

VP of Children’s Services

We are thrilled to announce and warmly welcome Jodie Warth, MPA, as our new Vice President of Children’s Services at Balance Autism! Jodie is a dynamic and passionate leader who has dedicated her career to improving the lives of children and families across Iowa.

An Iowa native, Jodie grew up in Dumont and has built her life and career around serving her home state. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Sociology from the University of Northern Iowa and her Master of Public Administration from Drake University.

She has also completed advanced nonprofit leadership training at Harvard Business School and the Michigan Ross School of Business, equipping her with the expertise to drive meaningful impact.

Jodie comes to us with more than two decades of impressive experience, most recently from Orchard Place, where she served as Vice President of Operations, overseeing programs that annually reached thousands of children and families. Earlier, as Vice President of the Child Guidance Center at Orchard Place, she led a children’s mental health clinic serving more than 4,000 children annually.

Before her time at Orchard Place, Jodie spent 11 years as CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa, where she became a tireless advocate for more than 3,000 young people. Additionally, Jodie has experience in other leadership positions, including fundraising at the American Red Cross, Drake University, Planned Parenthood of Greater Iowa, the YWCA of Greater Des Moines, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Jodie’s exceptional leadership, her deep Iowa roots, and her unwavering commitment to empowering youth will be instrumental as we continue to grow and strengthen our Children’s Services.

Please join us in giving Jodie a warm welcome to the Balance Autism family. We are excited for the incredible impact she will bring to the children, families, and communities we serve!

Congratulations!

We’re proud to share that two of our esteemed colleagues, Taylor Aukes, Community Services Director, and Jessica Crawford, Program Director, will be leading a breakout session at this year’s Autism Society of Iowa Annual Conference.

Their presentation will explore residential living options, with a special focus on our Smart Living Homes—an innovative model designed to empower individuals with autism through technology and person-centered support.

Smart Living utilizes remote-supports to customize service delivery for the individual, creating a unique environment for them to thrive. These homes promote a greater level of independence while still providing essential assistance through the use of technology and targeted in-person supports. Programming is individualized to the person to ensure health, safety, and individual needs are met.
